So, this is what our fish tank typically looks like:

| Note: The shelf is above my head. It's say it's about 6 ft from the floor. |

| Clear water , so you can see fish |
On that shelf above the tank is cute pictures, fish food and these:

De-stress for fish and water clear... used occasionally.
Placed OUT OF REACH of CHILDREN (or so I thought) |
You know what is the recipe for disaster? A fish tank, a bored 3 year old, a stool, a drum, fish food, Accu-clear and Stress Coat. Mix them all together and you get this:
Which results in this:

| Broken Drum |
 |
| Connor uses the vacuum |
Luckily, Jeff and I kept it together enough to see the humor and amazement in all this. How Connor reached to the shelf and dumped all that in WITHOUT tipping over a 55 gallon fish tank- we will never know. At least God kept him safe during his first real "curious" moment. He had to clean-up and I think he really enjoyed using the vacuum. So much for his consequence for making a mess.
All in all everyone lived. Including the curious three year old. All fish are well and accounted for after cleaning the tank and doing a water change. But, lesson learned, do not leave a curious 3 year old alone for over 30seconds.
